No. 8 Seton started fast and kept going to defeat host St. Francis de Sales 58-36 on Friday.
The Sting (9-1, 3-0 Catholic League) used a pressure defense to lead 16-4 after one quarter and 31-15 at halftime.
Guards D.J. Cooper (eight steals) and Ken Stevenson (five steals) led the way as the Sting forced 32 turnovers.
Cooper added six points, six assists and five rebounds.
“We come out every game very aggressive,” Cooper said. “We had a tough loss Sunday (against Hyde Park), but I feel the loss was a positive because it helped us come together as a team. Our chemistry keeps getting better”.
Corbin Thomas led the Sting with 17 points.
David Guerrero was the lone bright spot for the Pioneers (4-7, 0-4) with 19 points.

Bowen 71, Hirsch 58: De’andre Williams was the star for the Boilermakers, scoring 29 points, dishing out five assists and grabbing five rebounds. Brian Payne scored 16 and Johnta Jackon added 14 points for Bowen (6-5, 2-0 Blue South).
Bradley 55, Andrew 48: Zach Wadley scored 20 points to lead the way for Bradley (3-4, 2-1 Southwest Suburban Red).
Glenbrook North 49, Highland Park 23: Highland Park came out in a box-and-one on Glenbrook North’s Alex Dragicevich and held him scoreless in the first quarter but the Spartans prevailed in a 49-23 victory at Highland Park.
Glenbrook North (7-1, 3-0 Central Suburban North) jumped out to a 18-4 lead as Jordan Schmidt scored seven of his 13 points in the first quarter.
“We handled the box-and-one very well.” Glenbrook North Coach Dave Weber said. “We prepared a lot for it. We made a few shots early on and took them out of it. It’s hard to play that agaisnt us because we have so many good shooters.”
Highland Park (2-4, 1-2) held Dragicevich to a season low of eight points. Dragicevich, who entered the game averaging 24 points per game, added eight rebounds for the Spartans.

Hillcrest 63, Eisenhower 53: Eric Gaines had 17 points and Julius Brown scored 14 for the Hawks (5-3, 2-0 South Suburban Blue).
Loyola 85, Guerin 35: Brian Kucera and Andrew Kindelin scored 14 points each for the Ramblers (5-4, 1-0 Catholic League).
Maine East 61, Deerfield 41: Danhi Wilson had 22 points and 12 rebounds to help Maine East (6-3, 3-0 Central Suburban North) earn the win.
Maine South 56, Glenbrook South 55: Strahinja Nikolic scored 12 points and hit a game-winning shot to give Maine South a win versus conference rival Glenbrook South. The Hawks (5-3, 1-2 Central Suburban South) also got a big contribution from Kevin Schlitter, who scored 22 points and brought down 12 rebounds.
Morgan Park Academy 82, ACE 60: In the Luther South, Damon Williams had 23 points and Yazin Akkawi scored 17 for the Warriors.
Niles North 56, Maine West 52: Duane Williams scored 14 points for Niles North.
Providence-St. Mel 75, Cristo Rey 32: Providence-St. Mel improved to 9-0, 5-0 in the Chicago Prep, behind big game's from Arthur Jefferson (17 points), Phillip Jackson (13 points and seven rebounds) and Torry Walker (10 points, seven steals and five assists).
Ridgewood 47 Elmwood Park 42: Mike Kepinski scored 14 points and Tom Antosz added 13 in the win for Ridgewood (3-5, 1-1 Metro Suburban).
St. Joseph 79, Marian Catholic 51: Nate Rogers was the leading scorer for the Chargers (7-1, 2-0 East Suburban Catholic) with 13 points in the win.
St. Patrick 65, Nazareth 59: Tim Traversa (19 points), Mike Frey (17 points) and Korney Darby (16 points) helped the Shamrocks (7-1, 4-0 East Suburban Catholic) to the win.
St. Rita 93, Gordon Tech 73: St. Rita (5-4, 1-0 Catholic League) got a double-double from Ryan Demming (20 points, 10 rebounds) and 14 points from Marcell Portwood in the win.
Sandburg 60, Stagg 47: Mitch Thompson scored 22 points and Stavros Demogerontas added 20 in the Eagles (5-2, 2-1 Southwest Suburban Blue) win.
Team Englewood 72, Chicago Math and Science 51: Trevell Martin scored 20 points and Chrisaun Scott added 15 in the Team Englewood (2-1, 2-1 Green South) victory.
West Aurora 66, Glenbard North 46: The Blackhawks were led in scoring by Jamal Blackmond (13 points), Juwan Starks (11 points) and Markus Cocroft (10 points).
Wheaton Academy 57, Aurora Christian 47: Tim Rusthoven had 22 points for the Warriors, and Anthony Ritchie added 15. Wheaton Academy improved to 7-2 on the year and 2-0 in the Private School League.
Wheeling 49, Elk Grove 39: James Kurtz had a fantastic all-around game for Wheeling (2-5), scoring 21 points to go along with five assists, five rebounds and two steals.
York 69, Proviso West 59: The Dukes (2-6, 1-2 West Suburban Silver) were led by Tom Judge's 19 points. Steve Ogdon added 15 points as well in the victory.
