Deshaun Watkins scored 24 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had three steals as No. 22 Crane cruised past Harper 71-43 Monday in nonconference action.

Crandall Head added 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals for the Cougars.

Argo 65, Kelly 29: The Argonauts (1-3) earned their first win of the season as Morris Woods scored 21, grabbed seven rebounds, passed out five assists and had four steals. Kendale Cooper and Godfrey Brown each scored 14 for Argo.

Beecher 45, Bishop McNamara 41: Brett Ociepka (27 points) and Matt Gocal (11) led the way as the Bobcats (1-4) edged the Irish.

Collins 71, Best Practice 47: Jerome Harris (24 points, six rebounds) and Travary Williams (13 points, four assists) paced the Cobras to the nonconference win.

Fenton 73, Reavis 70, 2 OT: Justin Southward's 3-pointer won it for the Bison, who had 32 points from Peter Surma and 10 from Dan Montano.

Gardner 48, Reed-Custer 42: Chris Irvin and Kyle Mack each scored 18 for the Panthers (3-2), who rallied from a 32-22 halftime deficit.  Jake Evans had 13 points for Reed-Custer (0-5).

Glenbard South 56, Kaneland 47: Jordan Harks scored 18 and Ralondo Schumate added 10 to help the Raiders win in the Western Sun.

Hope 75, Tilden 25: Derrick Hall Jr. had 28 points, eight assists and five steals to lead the Eagles to the win. Teammate Lamar James added 24 points and seven rebounds.

Ida Crown 48, Sullivan 36: Daniel Lapson scored 12 as the Aces improved to 3-0.

Immaculate Conception 62, Timothy Christian 51: Fresh off leading the Knights to the Class 2A state football title, Matt Purdom had 23 points and seven rebounds in the nonconference win. Demitrius Mobley scored 11 for Immaculate Conception.

Lake Forest Academy 70, North Shore 44: Todd Zafirovski scored 15 to lead the Caxys to the Independent School League win.

Lindblom 65, Urban Prep 33: Cedric Ferguson scored 15 points and DJ Smith added 12 as the Eagles soared to a nonconference win.

Maine South 67, Streamwood 63: Kevin Schlitter had 19 points and 18 rebounds to help the Hawks prevail. Strahinja Nokolic's 17 points and Justin Waski's 15 also contributed to the Maine South win.

Manley 60, Raby 52: Marvell Murphy's double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds helped Manley win its season opener. Pierre Blakney (13 points) and Mario McGee (10) also scored in double figures.

Newark 64, Plano 59: The Norse won behind the double-barreled attack of the Andersons -- Kyle (26 points, four assists) and Kurt (12 points, four assists).

Northridge 57, Latin 45: Jack Whalen had 13 points as the Knights (3-2, 1-0) earned the Independent School League victory.

Plainfield South 64, Minooka 54: The Cougars won in the Southwest Prairie behind Ed Presniakovas (14 points).

Rich East 61, T.F. South 47: Stephen O'Neal's 18 points helped the Rockets (4-1) win the SICA crossover. Shea Sumpter had 16 points for Rich East and Ja'Mere Dismukes added 12.

Jarrett Kelly scored 12 for the Rebels.

Shepard 73, Kankakee 68: The Astros (2-3) won at home as Steve Reynolds scored 23 and B.J. Burnette added 15 points.

St. Francis de Sales 46, Bremen 45: Brandon Willis scored 14 and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Pioneers (3-2) past the Braves (1-3) in Midlothian. Shawn Paymaster (19 points) and Bernard White (11) led Bremen.

Vocational 47, Bowen 39: Hollis Hill had 22 points and Angelo Nwankpa added 12 as the Cavaliers moved to 4-2.

Wells 53, Gage Park 48: Chad Rice (18 points) and Tyrese Pope (16 points, 10 rebounds) helped the Raiders (2-4) get past the Owls.

West Chicago 59, Joliet Catholic 42: Tyler Griffith scored 22 and Tony Quarto added 16 points to help the Wildcats roll.

Amundsen 54, Ellison 51: Lugene Johnson's 24 points, eight rebounds and eight assists powered the Vikings (4-1).

Chicago Math and Science 65, Hancock 55: Jonathan Barbee scored 16 to help CMSA improve to 1-1 in the tourney.
