Brandon Paul, Warren, G, Sr. – Paul had 29 points in a win over Fremd, 21 points in an overtime win over Bartlett and 18 points, 10 rebounds in a loss to Waukegan.
Joseph Bertrand, Sterling, G, Sr. – The senior had nine points, four assists and two blocks in a win over Newman, 18 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals in a win over Morrison, 21 points, three rebounds in a win over Dixon and 21 points, nine assists in a win over Rock Falls. Bertrand also eclipsed 1,000 career points in front of future head coach Bruce Weber in the win over Morrison. Sterling (5-0) faces Streator this week.
Jereme Richmond, Waukegan, F, Jr. – The junior had 12 points in a win over Bartlett, 13 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Fremd and had 23 points, 10 rebounds in win over Warren. The No. 6 Bulldogs (3-0) play Glenbrook North this week.
Crandall Head, Crane, G, Jr. – The junior had 22 points in a win over North Grand and put up another 22 in a win over DuSable.
Meyers Leonard, Robinson, C, Jr. – In a loss to Marshall (Ill.) Leonard was held to seven points but dished out five assists, grabbed five rebounds and had two blocks. The junior then followed up with 10 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in win over Olney. Leonard was named to the Capital Classic All-Tournament Team for Robinson. The Maroons face Effingham this week.
Northwestern
Drew Crawford, Naperville Central, G, Sr. – Crawford had 31 points in a win over Lake Park, 24 points in a win over Fenton and scored a game-high 23 points in a loss to South Elgin. The senior also earned Tournament MVP honors for the second straight year at the Fenton Thanksgiving Tournament. The Redhawks (3-1) face West Aurora and Waubonsie Valley this weekend.
Eastern Illinois
Shaun Pratl, Richards, F, Sr. – Pratl had 18 points in win over Eisenhower, 12 points in a win over Marist and 10 points and nine rebounds in loss to Leo. The Bulldogs (3-1) host Oak Lawn this week.
Northern Illinois
Tony Nixon, Seton, G, Sr. – The senior had 13 points, 12 rebounds in a win over St. Ignatius, 25 points in a win over Hubbard and 16 points in win over Lincoln Park. Nixon was also named Tournament MVP of the McGovern Classic at St. Rita. The No. 4 Sting (4-0) faces St. Rita and Curie this week.
UIC
Louis Green, St. Joseph, C, Sr. – Green had 15 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks in a win over Proviso East. The Chargers (2-1) face St. Viator this week.
