Friday's boys basketball roundup

Alex Dragicevich scored a game high 35 points to lead Glenbrook North past Lake Forest 67-62 in an overtime thriller at the Niles West Tournament on Friday.

Dragicevich had eight points in overtime including two 3-pointers. Jason Schmidt added 19 points for the Spartans.

Austin Tournament

Austin 71, Noble Street 30: Nico O'Neil and Taron Jennings both scored 17 points for Austin (5-0) in the Austin Tournament win.

Battle at the Ridge

Maine East 88, Gordon 52: The Blue Demons improved to 3-0 behind Shareq Khan (20 points), Nusrath Khan (17 points) and Danhi Wilson (14 points, 10 rebounds).

Chicago Heights Classic

Lindblom 61, Thornridge 58: Cedric Ferguson scored 20 points and Darien Davis added 12 for the Eagles (1-3).

Marian Catholic 86, Bowen 55: Brian Johnson and DiAndre Bellamy both scored 15 points for Marian Catholic (2-2).

Raby 72, Wells 46: The Raiders were led by Ed Brown's 20 points and Andrew Mack's 12 points.

Deerfield 58, Chicago Academy 35: The Warriors were led by Duje Duncan's 24 points.

Lyons 80, North Grand 59: Kevin Muldowney help pace the Lions to an easy victory with 20 points. Calin Allodi added 16 points and Kevin Dunne chipped in 12 for Lyons.

Loyola 76, Maine West 51: The Ramblers cruised to an easy victory behind 25 points from Matt Sulivan.

New Trier Tournament

Notre Dame 82, New Trier 78: Mike DiGregoio (25 points), Shawn Wallis (16 points), Jimmy Martin (21 points) and Dallas Morland (11 rebounds) all contributed to a Don (3-0) victory.

Niles West Tournament

Palatine 58, Niles North 38: Nat Pearson scored 15 points for the Pirates.

Rich South 67, Wheeling 53: Macari Brooks scored 24 points for the Stars and Pierre Brooks added 13.

Niles West 69, Corliss 55: Danny Zahos had 21 points to pace the Wolves (2-1).

Peoria Woodruff Tournament

De La Salle 88, Richland 67: The Meteors were victorious behind Richie Fisher's 24 points. De La Salle also got scoring help from Andre Henley (20 points) and Derek Needham (18 points).

Vocational 50, Pekin 47: Vocational improved to 2-0 with help from Hollis Hill (17 points) and Angelo Nwankpa (10 points, 11 rebounds).

Rock Island Tournament

Rock Island 62, Julian 52: Brandon Pullman led the Rocks with 18 points and teammate Chasson Randle added 15.

St. Benedict Tournament

Providence-St. Mel 82, St. Benedict 47: The Knights routed St. Benedict behind 23 points and 14 rebounds from Phillip Jackson. Mark Mack also had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Providence-St. Mel (3-0).

U-High 71, Roosevelt 34: Daniel Lavin scored 21 points and Mark Woerner added 10 for U-High.

St. Rita Tournament

St. Rita 85, Morgan Park 82: The Mustangs (2-1) were led by Lane Barlow's 25 points and Marcell Portwood's 21 points.

Seton 78, Hubbard 49: The No. 11 Sting got 25 points from Tony Nixon and 13 from Jordan Walker to defeat Hubbard.

Morris 51, Yorkville 50: The Redskins (2-2) got 13 points from David Balzer and nine points, 11 rebounds from Keven Henry.

Seneca Tournament

Illiana Christian 72, Marquette 44: The Vikings were led by Jordan Brink who had 23 points, six rebounds and four assists. Illiana Christian (3-0) also got contributions from Chris Rudenga (10 points, eight assists) and Vince VanSchouwen (nine points, 10 rebounds).

Seneca 71, Prairie Central 28: Seth Evans led the Fighting Irish (3-0) with 21 points, seven steals and five assists. 

Shepard Tournament

Leo 78, Shepard 62: The Lions captured the title behind 23 points from Darwin Rodgers and 18 from James Pointer.

Marist 60, Eisenhower 56: The RedHawks had 29 points from Nick Valla and another nine from Lioness Ellzey.

Dundee-Crown 60, Kaneland 49: Rob Stupar led Dundee-Crown with 31 points.

Waukegan Tournament

Waukegan 73, Fremd 48: Jereme Richmond led the No. 6 Bulldogs with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Colin Nickerson added 21 points for Waukegan. 

WJOL Tournament

Plainfield Central 55, Plainfield South 51: Derek Marks scored 14 points for the Wildcats. Jeff Allen and Ted Irwin both added 10 points for Plainfield Central (2-1).

Providence 46, Joliet Catholic 37: Jon O'Donnell scored 14 points for the Celtics.
