Outlook: Noble Street Charter School’s seven campuses have formed this new league, which includes only one school (Noble Street) that fielded a varsity team last season. Rauner has the conference’s best player, 6-6 Julius Rusimovic, and should fight Noble Street and Pritzker for the title.

The top five: Severiano Acosta, Noble Street, F, jr.; Isaac Aguiniga, Pritzker, G, jr.; Elias Roman, Noble Street, G, sr.; Julius Rusimovic, Rauner, F, jr.; Chris Williams, Rowe-Clark, F, so.

Keep an eye on: Tyler Little, Rowe-Clark, F, sr.

Did you know? Rowe-Clark coach Marlon Tobin led Noble Street to the Chicago Green title in 2006-07.

Quote: ‘‘We felt it was better competition for us to play against each other. We can’t do any recruiting; we take kids by a strict lottery.’’ — Pritzker coach Reginald Coleman

Prediction: Rauner, Noble Street, Pritzker, Rowe-Clark, UIC College Prep, Golder, Comer.
