Oak Park pounded Morton ace Ryan Crowley for 10 hits in five innings as the Huskies rolled to a 9-0 victory Saturday in the Class 4A Oak Park Regional title.

‘‘We saw Crowley three weeks ago and had a good scouting report,’’ Oak Park coach Chris Ledbetter said. ‘‘We wanted to get some base runners on and try to rattle him.’’

JoJo Maldanado ripped a Crowley fastball over the left field fence for a two-run homer in the bottom of the first. In the second, Andy Brashler doubled to center, stole third and then stole home.

Drew Golz (6-1) gave up only two singles in the second and struck out five in six innings. He was 2-for-2 with two RBI.

‘‘I used my fastball and was able to get ahead in the count and hit my spots,’’ Golz said. ‘‘I knew our defense would play great and they did.’’

Leadoff man Sam Picchiotti scored on Golz’s deep fly to center in the third and the Huskies (25-8) scored five in the fifth keyed by designated hitter Mark Bernthal slicing a triple into the right field corner with the bases loaded.

Morton finished at 14-17-2.
