For the second time in three days, Lockport's baseball team needed to stage a late rally in order to remain unbeaten in SouthWest Suburban conference play.

Two days after scoring two runs in the seventh to capture an 8-7 win at Andrew, the No. 4 Porters used three runs in the sixth to pull out a 5-4 SWSC crossover victory over Lincoln-Way East in Lockport.

Rich Estes (3-for-4) capped the rally for Lockport (12-1, 5-0) when he lined a two-out single to right to bring home Anthony Munari with the winning run.

"I never had a doubt in my mind that we couldn't win this game," Estes said. "We've been competing so much lately that I knew that we're not just going to give up. I like the confidence level that we have on this team."

Munari had just tied things up when he singled home Derek Crouch. Josh Stanton got things going in the sixth when he belted a solo shot to left, his first homer of the year.

Reliever Sean Forte (6-0) retired seven of the last eight batters that he faced, including the side in the seventh, to get the victory.

Andrew Wendt drove in Tom Lilja (2-for-4, 2 runs) to give East (10-4, 3-2) a 1-0 lead in the first but the Porters got two runs in the second when Jon Cisna (2-for-3) doubled in Matt Denton and later scored on an error.

The Griffins moved ahead in the fourth when John Lorenz scored on a fielder's choice by Alex Koszulinski and Tim Scott came home on a wild pitch.

East increased its advantage to 4-2 in the fifth inning when Brandon Hohl scored on a two-out single to center by Cody Erikson (2-for-3).
