Herscher 5-2, Peotone 4-0: Brock Pfeiffer hit a walk-off single and was 2-for-3 in the opener to help the Tigers (15-7-2) sweep the Blue Devils. Tyler Evans was 2-for-2 with two RBI in each game for Herscher, and Justin Wolter fanned six in four innings to win the nightcap.

Lincoln-Way North 11, Morgan Park 1: Kevin Majchrzak and Jimmy Hermle each went 2-for-3 with two RBI as the Phoenix (7-1) rolled in the South Suburban Summer League. Majchrzak tripled and homered, while Hermle slugged a double. Brad Burke (2-0) earned the win.

St. Patrick 6-7, Riverside-Brookfield 4-13: Mark Mrowka and Eric Jenkins had two hits and two RBI each to help the Shamrocks win the opener in Near West Suburban Summer League action. Armando Salgado and Devin Pickel combined on a six-hitter and Jose Castro also had two hits for St. Pat's. In the nightcap, Tim Varallo, Brian Canoy and Kevin Bucher had two hits each for the Shamrocks.

St. Viator 1-3, Fremd 0-2: Anthony Quagliano pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts in the opener to help the Lions (5-3) sweep the Vikings. Jack Gaffney singled home Kevin Gannon with the decisive run in the nightcap.
