Mascoutah avenged an earlier loss, beating the host Tigers 18-8 on Sunday to win the Herscher Invitational.
The Indians, who dropped an extra-inning game to Herscher in pool play, won the four-team tourney for the second time in three seasons.
Herscher rolled past Manteno 17-7 in six innings and Mascoutah knocked out Momence 9-1 in the semifinals.
Brett Karraker went 4-for-5 with three RBI for Herscher in the semis and Jordan Ruckman finished 2-for-3. Tyson Wager went the distance for Mascoutah, allowing two hits and fanning seven.
Herscher went 3-0 in pool play, beating Manteno 6-2, Momence 7-6 and Mascoutah 6-3.
Pete Evers hit a walk-off homer against Mascoutah, a three-run shot in the bottom of the eighth.
Spike Engleman was 2-for-4 with an RBI vs. Manteno and John Berns fanned 14 in six innings, allowing four hits and one walk.
Karraker was 2-for-4 with a pair of triples against Momence. Joe Baud went 2-for-5 with three RBI for the Redskins in the loss.
Mascoutah went 2-1 in pool play, edging Momence 5-4 and downing Manteno 12-1.
Wager was 2-for-3 with an RBI vs. Momence, while Josh Snyder fanned five in 5 1/3 innings against Manteno. Drew Sain went 2-for-4 with two RBI for Momence in the loss to Mascoutah.
Momence wound up 1-2 in pool play thanks to an 8-2 victory over Manteno. Tony Velasquez was 3-for-5 with two RBI for the Redskins and Casey Lincoln went 3-for-4.
