Riverside-Brookfield 65, Robeson 26: Riverside-Brookfield receiver Mark McDonagh set a new state record with 20 receptions in the win. He finished with 211 yards receiving and three touchdown receptions for the Bulldogs (1-2.)

The previous record was 19 receptions, held by Tim Spaniol of Woodland and Lou Weber of Argo. Spaniol reached the mark in 2000, while Spaniol caught 19 balls in 1985.

Lake Forest 38, Libertyville 28: The Scouts (1-2, 1-0 North Suburban Lake) rallied from a 14-point deficit behind Notre Dame-bound quarterback Tommy Rees. The senior was 31-for-46 passing for 352 yards and four touchdowns.

Lake Forest took the lead for good on Rees' eight-yard strike to Owen Williams in the third quarter.

‘‘(Libertyville’s defense) played Cover 3, Cover 2, man, blitz: they threw everything at us,’’ Rees said. ‘‘The receivers and whole offensive line did a good job the whole game.’’

Connor Moutvic had a 94-yard kickoff return in the first quarter for Lake Forest.

Glenbrook South 62, Deerfield 21: Running back Michael Hirsch (nine carries, 109 yards) had scoring runs of 37, 35 and 1 yards in the first half to lead Glenbrook South (2-1).

‘‘It was all because of the line today,’’ said Hirsch, who scored on the Titans’ first play of scrimmage. ‘‘Without them I wouldn’t have scored on the first play or any of the other two.’’

Kyle Kwasniewski (seven carries, 88 yards, two touchdowns) added a 60-yard run of his own to make the score 42-14 at half.

Matt Healey led the Warriors (2-1) going 20-for-30 passing for 229 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.

New Trier 21, Glenbrook North 7: New Trier’s Charlie Tilson returned the second-half kickoff 91 yards to break a 7-7 halftime tie and give the Trevians the lead for good.

Glenbrook North (2-1) fumbled on its next possesion and quarterback Stu Brown scored on a 16-yard run to put New Trier up 21-7.

New Trier (1-2) jumped out to take a 7-0 lead, taking advantage of a Glenbrook North fumble deep in its own territory, as Asaak Perlmutter scored on a five-yard run.

Glenbrook North tied it at 7-7 on a 82-yard flea-flicker from Eliot Fields to Armin Batang.

Geneva 21, Yorkville 10: No. 21 Geneva fell behind 10-0 after one quarter, but scored the final 21 points to win its Western Sun conference opener at home.

The Vikings (3-0, 1-0) won their 21st consecutive regular-season game and their 15th straight conference game. Geneva took a 14-10 halftime lead following a pair of three-yard touchdown runs by Michael Santacaterina (14 carries, 49 yards).

In the third quarter, Geneva added their final score on a 10-yard run by Jay Graffagna (17 carries, 139 yards).

‘‘We just needed to relax and get back to what we wanted to do,’’ Graffagna said. ‘‘We got a couple of offensive plays to get us going and then our defense stepped up.’’

The Foxes (1-2, 0-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead on a 30-yard field goal by Maxwell Brusveen.

The Foxes extended the lead to 10-0 on a 40-yard pass from Luke Parece (10-of-30, 251 yards) to Robbie Eaton.

Sandburg 24, Homewood-Flossmoor 13: The Eagles (3-0, 1-0 Southwest Suburban Blue) jumped ahead 7-0 in the first quarter when Nico Cavelle returned a botched Vikings’ snap 10 yards for a touchdown.

Phillip Musa (6-for-17 passing, 110 yards, two touchdowns) connected with Ryan Parker on an 11-yard scoring pass later in the quarter to put Sandburg up 14-0.
Kevin Thompson rushed for 100 yards on 16 carries for Sandburg.

‘‘We have a lot of diversity on this offense,’’ Musa said. “There’s more to come.’’

Tim Williams completed 15 of 29 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns for the Vikings (0-3, 0-1).

Richards 38, Eisenhower 11: Tommy Makuch threw three touchdown passes as Richards (2-1, 1-0) posted the South Suburban Red victory in Blue Island. Scoring for Eisenhower (0-3, 0-1) was Rob Easton, who caught a 12-yard pass from Justin Geiter.

Wheaton North 31, West Chicago 6: Standout quarterback Taylor Graham, an Ohio State recruit, was 10-for-19 passing for 113 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons (2-1, 1-0 DuPage Valley).

Justin Swider carried the ball 13 times for 79 yards and Richard Finley caught four passes for 65 yards.

York 31, Oak Park 24: York quarterback Sam Cleary was 10-for-13 passing for 116 yards and two touchdown passes as the Dukes (2-1, 1-0 West Suburban Silver) overcame an early 10-0 deficit. Cleary’s four-yard touchdown pass to Evan Fendley cut the lead to 10-7 at the break.

York’s defense came up with two safeties.

Mather 26, Clemente 0: Rashaan Fox rushed 16 times for 157 yards and two scores, while Esteban Gonzalez-Woods carried the ball nine times for 101 yards and a touchdown to lead Mather (2-1, 1-0 Chicago Big Shoulders).

Prosser 8, Schurz 6: Prosser (3-0, 1-0 Chicago Big Shoulders) scored on an 85-yard fumble recovery by Brandon Payton.

Lane 42, Vocational 0: Thaddeus Scott led the Indians (1-2) to their first win of the year with a 97-yard, three-touchdown performance. He also caught a touchdown pass and returned a kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown.

Louis Trinca-Pasat made four catches for 78 yards and a score.

Bogan 54, Corliss 6: Kareem Adewole was 7-for-14 with 105 yards and a touchdown to go along with 108 yards rushing and three scores on the ground. Daryl Taylor carried the ball for 125 yards including two rushes for scores from 54 and 11 yards.

Emanuel Bibbs caught two balls for 60 yards and a score and also had three sacks and an interception on defense. Antony Pierson recorded eight tackles while Fred Baker had three sacks and a 65-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown to help Bogan improve to 3-0 (1-0 Chicago Windy City).

St. Laurence 34, Gordon Tech 12: Josh Johnson ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns while Steve Fiorella rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown for St. Laurence (3-0, 3-0 Chicago Catholic White).

Lemont 48, Oak Lawn 6: Host Lemont (3-0) rolled to victory in the South Suburban crossover as Danny Hayes had 21 carries for 222 yards and four touchdowns (29, 9, 42, 3 yards). Oak Lawn fell to 0-3.

Hillcrest 41, Tinley Park 13: Herb Offord rushed for 107 yards and scored a touchdown while Ryan Keen scored on an 85-yard touchdown run and Breyonte Brewer caught a 52-yard score. Hillcrest remains unbeaten (3-0, 1-0 South Suburban Blue).

T.F. North 13, Bremen 4: T.F. North (3-0, 2-0 South Suburban Blue) was led by Eljiah Sofowora's 10-yard touchdown catch and an 82-yard kickoff return.

Longwood 42, Christian Liberty 0: Longwood (3-0, 3-0 Northeastern Athletic) earned the win behind running back Robert Goggins, who rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns.

Anthony Garrison scored twice while carrying the ball for 78 yards.

Bradley 35, Lincoln-Way West 3: Austin Ringo had 18 carries for 177 yards and three touchdowns for Bradley (2-1).
