Marist DB takes quarterfinal vote

SEEING STARS (Vote for the top star, see poll. Voting ends Wednesday night and the winner will be announced Thursday. Please note voting is limited to one vote per computer a day.)

Anthony Battle Jr., OL/DL, Mount Carmel: Two-way standout was part of an offensive line that allowed three rushers to gain more than 100 yards and a defensive front that allowed only one touchdown in a 42-7 win over Marist.

Will Cronin, QB, Immaculate Conception: Completed 4-for-8 passes for 137 yards and one TD, and ran 13 times for 91 yards and two TDs in a 41-8 win over Bureau Valley.

Tim Hanrahan, RB, Providence: 26 carries, 269 yards and two TDs in a 38-0 win over Rock Island.

Josh Hasenberg, QB, Bartlett: Was a 8-for-15, 124 yards passing with three TD runs and a TD pass in a 38-35 win over Schaumburg. Also conducted a 69-yard game-winning drive capped by Dan Karys' field goal with 7.4 seconds left.

Ryan Kuhn, DL, Crystal Lake South: Had two fumble recoveries in a 14-7 overtime win over Cary-Grove.

David Lutz, K, Hinsdale Central: Made a 25-yard field goal with 17.8 second left to lift the Red Devils to a 17-14 win over Brother Rice. It was Lutz's first successful field goal. He was blocked in the second quarter against Brother Rice.

Ryan O'Donnell, RB/DB, St. Francis: Had an interception and a fumble recovery in a 28-14 win over Montini.

Michael Ratay, RB, Geneva: Rushed for 190 yards and three TDs against a Carmel defense that allowed one rushing touchdown all season. Geneva prevailed 35-21.

Cameron White, RB, Antioch: 22 carries, 141 yards and two TDs, including a 14-yard scoring pass on a botched play in overtime, in a 28-27 win over Glenbard South. Also had a 66-yard punt return to set up another score.

Dave Zielke, WR/DB, Aurora Christian: Caught two TD passes and had a key fourth-quarter interception on defense in a 24-17 win over Driscoll.
